About Guided Subtask Daily Planner

You’ve got one big thing to ship today — a proposal, a code module, a chapter, a design comp, a strategy doc — and you need a container that keeps you on track without getting in the way. This planner takes that single objective and breaks it into guided micro-steps across a 6 AM to 10 PM timeline.

The layout gives every part of the execution cycle its own space. Define your singular objective at the top. Block out your hours. List up to 12 micro-steps. Identify blockers and friction points as they come up. State your criteria of done so you know when to stop. Close the day with the shutdown ritual checklist. There’s a dot grid section at the bottom for whatever surfaces mid-session — ideas, dependencies, sketch notes. Everything in one place, nothing forgotten.

Guided Subtask Daily Planner — FAQ

Questions specific to this product.

How does the guided execution work?
You start by naming a single daily objective at the top. Then the planner breaks it into up to 12 micro-steps, each with its own criteria of done. As you work, you flag blockers and friction points next to each step. The idea is that you don't just list tasks — you get a structured path through them with a clear stopping rule for each one.
Both Letter and A4 in the download?
Yes. You get US Letter (8.5" x 11") and International A4 (210mm x 297mm) in the ZIP. The grid proportions are preserved at exact scale, so printing at 100% is all you need.
What's the paper recommendation for this one?
This planner has thin hairlines for the hourly grid and dot sections, so 100-120 GSM paper or cardstock handles it well. Overhead projector sheets also work if you're cycling through the same page with a dry-erase marker — just set print to "High Quality".
Does the license let me share copies with my team?
Good question. The license is personal — you can print as many copies as you need for yourself, but sharing with colleagues or using it in a team setting falls under commercial use. Reach out if you need a team license and we'll sort it out.
Guided Subtask Daily Planner — reviews

What people are saying.

Curated reviews from real premium customers. Each one is verified against the order record before publication.

  1. I keep a stack of these on my desk and use one every day. The guided micro-step format forces me to break down vague objectives into real execution steps — no more writing the same task three days in a row. That part's great. What I don't love is the shutdown routine at the bottom. It's a nice idea, but the prompts are too generic for someone in a product role. "What did I accomplish?" doesn't capture the collaborative work that ate my afternoon. I ended up crossing it out and writing my own wrap-up. Also, the paper stock feels a bit thin for daily pen use — mine started feathering by week two.
