Overview

About Cinematic Studio Lighting HDRI Pack

Thirty HDRI maps from Poly Haven (CC0), grouped by the kind of light you’re actually trying to achieve. No more browsing through hundreds of thumbnails trying to guess which one gives you soft studio lighting. Four groups cover the scenarios you’ll need most: studio softbox (product shots, hero renders), golden hour (warm exteriors, architectural flythroughs), overcast diffuse (soft even light for material previews and character work), and night cinematic (moody dramatic lighting for game environments and film).

Every HDRI comes in 16K resolution as both .hdr for real-time engines and .exr for offline rendering and compositing. The lighting reference PDF is the killer feature here — each map applied to a chrome ball and a gray sphere with exposure and rotation notes. You can pick the right environment in seconds without loading a single one into your renderer.

Cinematic Studio Lighting HDRI Pack — FAQ

Questions specific to this product.

How do I pick the right HDRI without loading every one?
That's exactly what the lighting reference sheet solves. Each map is rendered on a chrome ball and a gray sphere with exposure and rotation notes. You flip through the PDF, spot the lighting you want, load that one. Takes seconds instead of trial-and-error.
HDR vs EXR — which do I use?
HDR for real-time engines (Unity, Unreal, Blender Eevee). EXR for offline rendering and compositing — Cycles, V-Ray, Arnold, Corona, Nuke, After Effects. We include both for every map so you don't have to convert.
16K seems like overkill. Can I scale down?
The README has a resolution guide. Drop to 8K or 4K for real-time rendering and preview work. Keep 16K for final product renders and film where reflection detail matters.
Did you just batch-download these from Poly Haven?
We curated 30 maps from Poly Haven's library (CC0) based on the lighting scenarios 3D artists actually need — studio, golden hour, overcast, night cinematic. Then organized them by mood group and built the reference sheet. Without that reference sheet, you'd spend more time loading test renders than actually lighting your scene.
Commercial use allowed?
CC0. Use in product renders, arch-viz, games, film, whatever. No attribution needed.
Cinematic Studio Lighting HDRI Pack — reviews

What people are saying.

Curated reviews from real premium customers. Each one is verified against the order record before publication.

  1. The golden-hour HDRI maps give my product renders a premium studio look without the usual lighting setup overhead. Dynamic range handles metallic reflections accurately — I replaced my three-point light rig with a single dome light. Results are better and render times are faster. That's a win-win.
