Can I use just the doodle without the background blobs?
Yes. Each SVG has the doodle and background on separate layers. Delete or hide the blob layer, and you've got the raw Open Doodles sketch. Five background styles included — blob, grid, dots, gradient, or none.
Which blog platforms work with the layout templates?
The PDF focuses on content hierarchy and visual placement, not platform-specific code. Works for WordPress, Ghost, Medium, Substack, Webflow, Shopify — any CMS that lets you insert images.
What's different from downloading Open Doodles for free?
The raw doodles (CC0 by Pablo Stanley) are standalone sketches. We added background compositions that turn each one into a finished graphic — 5 background styles per doodle, 10 blog layout templates showing placement, and color-grouped SVGs for quick brand recoloring.
Can I recolor everything?
The SVGs use named color groups for doodle strokes and background elements separately. Change them in Figma, Illustrator, or Inkscape.
